A Natural Wonder of the World: The Last Natural Woodland on Earth
We, mankind failed to address the unhealthy imbalance between consumerist consumption and the erosion of nature. Now, natural beauty as we know it no longer subsists. Preserved by a dedicated team of conservational scientists, the woodland serves as an insight into the natural world that once co-existed with humanity. A compartment has been constructed from plastic netting with two functions: to act as a viewing area in order to experience the Natural Wonder but more importantly, to act as a barrier to prevent further human impact.

The plastic compartment has started to manifest itself extraordinarily; growing, expanding and intertwining with the trees. Overtime, the conservation team were unable to counteract the growth of plastic. Plastic has become an organism, thriving as part of the natural woodland.

The woodland now sits in isolation, abandoned and void of all human contact. Once the invasion of plastic had tarnished the Wonder, people were no longer interested in visiting.
You, the viewer, are now encapsulated in this compartment in complete solitude. Plastic’s growth has forged endless tunnels and though you have entered the compartmental maze, you are now engulfed within it. You are in the heart of the structure.
You cannot find your way out. You cannot escape the plastic.
