Home Installations Fluitō

Birmingham 2020 Festival presents Fluitō by Georgia Tucker, generously supported by Arts Council England and The National Heritage Lottery Fund.

The audience is invited to enter two sculptural cubes built one inside the other. The initial focal point of the work showcases the incredible speed and agility of elite swimmers, rarely experienced or appreciated from this perspective.

As the audience’s journey progresses there are other sensory elements to Fluito which explore water inequality within commonwealth countries and ocean pollution. Part of this will include first-hand interviews with communities and individuals whose lives are positively impacted by swimming.
